The first 90 minutes of the lecture session covers the Health & Safety at Work Act and how it applies to not only EWP's but all work in general.
Key concepts including identifying the hazards, minimising the risks, and proper supervision are explained in an easy to follow format.

Any other available staff are invited to attend the lecture FREE of charge. Only operators that complete the tests will be included in the charges.
This is a great opportunity for other workers, administrators, supervisors, managers and directors to ask questions and improve understanding of responsibilities and duties under the Act, including the need for “safe systems of work” which are essentially company rules and procedures that describe the minimum compliance required from workers.

Digital VOC
On completion of a multi-choice test followed by practical training and a Basic Operating Skills Test, a Verification Of Competency will be emailed no later than 6pm the next working day.
That is our promise to you. If for any reason we fail to live up to that promise, we will discount 10% off the bill.

Travel surcharge
A travel surcharge may apply depending on where our nearest instructor is to your location.
NO surcharge applies to EWP training from Takanini Auckland to Wapapakauri in the Far North if the day rate is selected.
Even if you have fewer than 8 attendees, it may still work out cheaper to select the day rate and avoid the $0.79 per kilometre charge.

EWP Training
FAQs
Can we do boom lift and scissor lift training on the same day?
​
YES. As long as the equipment is available at your site. We are also able to go to an equipment hire location to complete the practical training.
​
What is an authorisation?
​
Mobile plant operators should be authorised to carry out tasks with heavy equipment.
Just driving around the site may be regarded as “high risk” because of the chance of running into pedestrians, structures and other vehicles.
A licence endorsement, training certificate or VOC is not an authorisation to operate a machine on site.

How often do I need to complete a refresher?
​
Note: Refresher training should be given at regular intervals OR when an operator has been involved in an accident OR when an operator has been observed operating incorrectly.

VerifyME.kiwi recommends retraining every 2 years. Some companies choose to retrain annually and some use a 3 year cycle.

What about other types of EWP?
​
YES. We can do truck mounted, trailer mounted as well as the smaller shop and construction straight mast lifts. Lets us know which specific machines in the enquiry message.

Are you available for weekends and shift work?
Yes. Saturdays and Sundays (excluding long weekends and public holidays) and night shifts are available to help fit in with your production schedule.
Minimum charge is $500 and shift work has additional 25% surcharge.
